Ride the Hart–Montague Trail & Stop at the Farm

The Hart–Montague Trail State Park is one of Michigan's most beloved rail-trails, a 22-mile paved path winding through orchards, farmland, and small towns across Oceana County. Country Dairy sits right along the route, making us a favorite stop for cyclists fueling up with a scoop (or three) of homemade ice cream before the ride back. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just looking for a scenic family outing, this trail is a perfect West Michigan summer day.

What Is A2/A2 Milk, and Why Does It Matter?

You may have seen A2 milk showing up on store shelves and wondered what the difference is. The short answer: it comes down to protein. Most conventional milk contains both A1 and A2 beta-casein proteins, but A2/A2 milk comes from cows that only produce the A2 type. Many people who experience discomfort with regular milk find A2 much easier to digest, and the taste is noticeably creamier. We're excited to be exploring what this means for Country Dairy and our herd.
